Fabulous Pristine Beaches
La Palme boasts it’s own large sandy beach which is never crowded. During the summer you can drive right on to the beach. It is even possible to drive to the next town across the beach.
Walking, Hiking and Cycling
The Garrigues around La Palme provide hundreds of kilometres of marked and unmarked tracks for walking and cycling. Interesting walks bring you to the beaches, World War 2 gun emplacements and the windmills that are scattered about the surrounding landscape.
French Village Life
La Palme is a charming village dating back to the Middle Ages. With a population of about 1500 the town has all necessary services. Convenience stores, Pharmacy, Flower Shop, Hairdressers, Newsagent, Bars, Restaurants and a couple of excellent bakeries.
About the house
The VIllage House is located in a quiet quarter of the village of La Palme. Its slightly off the tourist trail and so provides a very authentic experience of French village life. The house is about 250 years old and was formerly the house of a local butcher. We have spent the last 15 years restoring and modernising it to provide, we think, the right balance of tradition and modern facilities
